Chief Investment Officer & Executive Director
James is the Chief Investment Officer and Executive Director of DS Capital and is jointly responsible for managing the portfolio of the DS Capital Growth Fund. James is an experienced investment manager having worked with River Capital between 2002 and 2012. During that time James held a number of roles including Executive Director and Senior Portfolio Manager. James is applying his investment management skills to the DS Capital Growth Fund which he co-founded in 2012.

Rodney Brott

Rodney is the Chief Executive Officer and Executive Director of DS Capital. He is jointly responsible for managing the portfolio of the DS Capital Growth Fund and manages the operations of DS Capital. Rodney has 19 years of stockbroking experience working as an investment advisor assisting individuals and institutions in growing and managing wealth. Rodney has had wide exposure to many sectors and asset classes and is a co-founder of DS Capital.

Jay joined DS Capital in 2022 after working as an equities analyst for over a decade.  Jay has experience across a variety of sectors and business models and applies his financial modelling and business analysis skills to the valuation and research process of the DS Capital Growth Fund.

Kanishka Dayawansa

Senior Portfolio Analyst
Kanishka joined DS Capital early in 2014 and has 5 years of business analysis experience previously as a Manager in the business valuations department of Deloitte. Kanishka has a strong understanding of a variety of business models, sectors, business and industry drivers and applies his valuation and financial modelling skills to the DS Capital research process.
